With economic growth comes the need for high-quality infrastructure & steel. Minera is committed to forging some of the best semi-finished steel products used by leading organizations. From our 20-tonne induction furnace, we plan to upgrade to a 40-tonne capacity electric arc furnace to produce alloy steel and MS billets.

Our Manufacturing Facilities

Pellet Plant
Minera uses a small straight grate pellet plant to produce iron ore pellets of superior quality. The furnace is powered by CO gas produced by our Coal Gasification Plant, ensuring the continuous operation of the Pellet Plant.

Sponge Iron Plant
Consisting of four kilns with 100 tonnes per day capacity and an additional 350 tonne kiln, the Sponge Iron Plant can produce up to 1.46 lakh tonnes of high-grade DRI (Directly Reduced Iron) from iron ore fines, lumps, pellets.

Steel Melting Shop
Minera’s S.M.S has been operational since 2011. Automation & internal innovation have allowed the plant to produce premium and affordable MS billets which are appreciated by our business partners.
OUR PROCESS
Using an automatic conveyor belt, sponge iron produced at our plant is transported to the induction furnace, where it is melted to form liquid metal. The molten material is cast and cooled to form MS billets.

Quality Management
We take quality control seriously and offer only the best products to our customers. The quality management process passes through four levels: inspection, control, assurance, and TQM (Total Quality Management.)
Our Quality Control Lab
To improve quality at various production stages, Minera’s QC lab is equipped with advanced tools such as spectrometers, electronic balances, pulveriser grinding machines, etc.

Minera aims for minimal emissions through the steel-making process and utilizes the waste heat and gases to provide 8MW of electricity to our plant.
